About us

For many students, learning is the act of picking up a textbook, cramming the information into their brains and crossing their fingers while hoping for the best. If you found yourself relating to this, then you’re the story behind SS101. Too many students, find themselves in this complicated relationship with learning (just like you). We exist to help you get out of it. Since our establishment, our goal has remained the same – create online learning experiences that are meaningful and engaging for students. In doing so, we hope to ignite your eagerness to learn because learning is for life.

I’m Mishka and I love helping students get their “aha” moment with maths and science. Since high school I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of solving a tough problem. This led me to pursue, not just one, but two BSc qualifications from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. It dawned on me while completing my first BSc degree that many of my peers did not share a similar enthusiasm for learning - they just cared about passing. This made me a little sad, because weren’t we supposed to be the next generation of problem solvers? How could we make an impact if we didn’t put in effort to improve our skills and knowledge? Upon chatting with them, I quickly realised it was in high school that their rocky relationships with academics began. So since graduating, I’ve put my extensive maths and science proficiency to, what I believe is, the best use; creating maths and science learning experiences that stick with students. Through SS101, I’ve helped hundreds of students find their love for learning and in the process smash their academic goals.
